Designing with intention. A practical guide into systemic thinking

With the changing times, it is becoming crucial for us as designers to pause and reflect on our roles. How can our work evolve with the changing consumer trends and market? If we believe that we have the capabilities and means to change the world and make it a better place for everyone, then it is time for us to think holistically, and reflect on the intended and unintended consequences of the decisions that we make, especially while designing a product or a service. Through this workshop, we will take a step back and think about the intention and impact of our design, rather than just the design itself. How can we influence not only companies or clients, also but people, communities, and possibly the planet? This is the most important step towards creating innovative solutions at a systemic level, rather than thinking of solutions in terms of digital screens. At the workshop, we will take participants through the steps of systemic thinking to design a solution, irrespectively of the ‘title’ that they hold in their careers. Let’s enforce that systemic & holistic thinking is the way forward for creating long-lasting impact through design!
